Job summary

Driver Hire Southampton is seeking a reliable Van Driver to join a client team delivering and collecting heating and cooling units across the region. The role is full-time and temp-to-perm, with a focus on independent work and on-road responsibilities.

You will load/unload using a 3.5T tail lift, assist with basic installations, and follow routes with support and training provided for long-term progression in the refrigeration engineering sector.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for at least 2 years.
• Own transport to travel to and from work.
• Comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Mechanical engineering or electrical experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• A stable work history with long-term employment.
• Flexible approach to overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting heating and cooling units to customer sites.
• Loading and unloading equipment using a 3.5T tail lift vehicle.
• Working independently and managing your daily route.
• Assisting with the basic installation of equipment, including positioning units.
• Full training provided.
