Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is seeking van drivers for immediate start during the busy pre-Christmas period. You will deliver appliances nationwide within a 300 mile radius of Nottingham, with early starts between 03:30 and 06:00 and 10–12 hour shifts.

This is a temporary role with weekly pay. You will typically have 4–8 drops per shift, and may work solo or in a double-man team for large items. Heavy goods handling is required, but full equipment is provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year of commercial van driving experience
• No more than 3 points on driving licence
• Positive attitude and willingness to work solo or in a double-manned team

Responsibilities

• Deliver appliances nationwide within a 300 mile radius of Nottingham.

Job Description

Van drivers required immediately for the busy period leading up to Christmas. Weekly pay,

You will be delivering goods across the UK with early starts and early finishes, delivering appliances nationwide (300 mile radius of Nottingham)

You will be expected to deliver goods in a timely manner - this is not a multidrop position however, you can expect between 4-8 drops per shift. The distance travelled is the reason for the early starts.

You should be comfortable with handling heavy goods although you will be provided with full equipment and working on a double manned team if handling large appliances

Duration: Temporary but ongoing work available

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: You will be paid £13.75 per hourYou accrue holiday up to 28 days pro rata.We do not offer Visa sponsorships

Working Hours: Start times will be between 03:30 and 06:00. Shifts are 10-12 hours roughlyThis is a Monday to Friday position with occasional Saturdays available (and optional).

Experience & Qualifications

• To drive a car or motorcycle - this is because of the client’s location.
• A minimum of 1 years’ commercial van driving experience
• No more than 3 points on your driving licence
• A positive attitude and to be happy to work either solo or as part of a double manned team (depending on the nature of the goods being delivered)
