Job summary

Dawsongroup in Milton Keynes is seeking a hands-on yard operative to deliver and collect vehicles, inspect and present them for hire, and keep the fleet clean to standard. You will perform basic repairs, assist with yard tasks, and ensure accurate electronic records are maintained.

Training is provided, and the role emphasizes safety, reliability, and consistent daily performance within a long-established asset rental business.

Qualifications

• Professional and courteous approach when dealing with customers and colleagues.
• Good attention to detail when checking vehicle condition and presentation.
• Willingness to learn, with full training provided across the role.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting vehicles from customer sites, locations and branches.
• Inspecting vehicles on collection and return, checking for damage and ensuring readiness for hire.
• Cleaning vehicles inside and out to the Dawsongroup standard.
• Carrying out minor repairs and adjustments, alongside general yard maintenance.
• Completing electronic documentation and reporting major concerns to the Branch Manager.
