Job summary

Kenect Recruitment is seeking a part-time Van Delivery Driver in Dordon, Tamworth. The role involves delivering to retail outlets in the Midlands, unloading and loading as required, with early shifts starting at 04:00. Training is provided and the position offers on-the-job learning.

Pay rates are £13.70 per hour (midweek 06.00–22.00) and £14.84 per hour (22.00–06.00) with holiday pay; volunteers to work two mornings weekly (Mondays and Saturdays).

Qualifications

• Must have held a valid UK driving licence for a minimum of 6 months.
• Must have experience driving 3.5 tonne vehicles (ideally refrigerated).
• Must be prepared to drive manual vehicles.
• Must be prepared to work Monday and Saturday mornings only.
• Must have no more than 3 penalty points on license.
• Must have a high-visibility vest or jacket and safety boots.
• Must be prepared to attend a paid driving assessment and induction prior to starting.

• You must be prepared to unload and help load vehicles as-and-when needed.

Salary: Between £13.70 - £14.84 per hour – plus holiday pay accrued at a rate of 12.07%

Want to join our team as a part-time Van Delivery Driver?

We’re seeking an experienced, customer-facing van delivery driver. You would be expected to work two early mornings each week on Mondays and Saturdays only

Our client’s distribution network comprises of 18 depots nationwide, enabling them to make over 11,500 daily deliveries of chilled and frozen food produce to third party customers

From the simple sandwich to a range of chilled foods, our client’s customer’s need fresh stock delivering daily

About the role:

Deliveries are made to retail outlets throughout the greater Midlands areas

You must be prepared to unload and help load vehicles as-and-when needed

Physically demanding

On-the-job paid training is provided

Early morning shifts between on Mondays and Saturdays only each week

Start times are 04.00am

Routes planned for between 8-10 hours in duration

Pay rates:

• £13.70 p/h for midweek hours worked between 06.00-22.00
• £14.85 p/h for midweek hours worked between 22.00-06.00
