Pure Staff are recruiting an experienced Van Driver / 3.5T Driver for regular ongoing work with a well-established national distribution business in Tamworth. This is a Monday-to-Friday position with no weekend working, starting at approximately 06:00 each morning. Shifts generally last around 8 to 10 hours, with consistent ongoing work available for the right driver. You’ll be completing multi-drop deliveries of heating, plumbing and trade products to businesses and residential customers across the region.

Pay & Hours

• £12.71 per hour
• £1.53 per hour additional accrued holiday pay, paid when you take annual leave
• Monday to Friday
• 06:00 starts
• Typically 8 to 10 hours per day
• Weekly pay

The Work

Routes vary depending on the products being delivered. Heavier routes may involve around 6 to 8 drops of products such as boilers and radiators, while lighter routes can involve approximately 14 to 20 drops of smaller plumbing and trade supplies. You’ll be responsible for checking your load, completing deliveries safely, obtaining proof of delivery and providing good customer service. Manual handling is involved and appropriate handling equipment is provided.

This is an ongoing temporary position offering regular Monday-to-Friday work. We have previously seen a number of temporary drivers secure permanent employment with this customer, although permanent employment cannot be guaranteed.

Working Through Pure Staff

You’ll be employed and paid directly by Pure Staff, no umbrella companies, payroll fees or outsourced payroll companies. You’ll also receive weekly PAYE pay, separately accrued holiday pay, pension contributions and support from an experienced transport recruitment team.
