Qualifications

Responsibilities

Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Van Driver to join our well-established client based in the Telford area. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Van Driver seeking ongoing work, regular weekday shifts and the potential to secure a permanent position with a reputable distribution business.

Pay Rates

Monday to Friday

• £13.50 per hour basic pay
• £15.13 per hour including holiday pay

Saturday

• £13.50 per hour basic pay
• £15.13 per hour including holiday pay

Sunday / Bank Holiday

• £13.50 per hour basic pay
• £15.13 per hour including holiday pay

Holiday Pay Information

• Holiday pay is accrued separately in line with PAYE regulations
• Rolled-up holiday pay is not available for this role

About the Role

This Van Driver position involves delivering goods to care facilities and commercial locations across the region and further afield. Working within the healthcare distribution industry, you will be part of a supportive operation offering long-term, consistent work with flexible start times where possible.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out between 10 and 15 deliveries per shift
• Load and unload products safely
• Deliver goods to customer locations in a professional manner
• Accurately complete delivery paperwork using an electronic POD device
• Conduct daily vehicle checks
• Ensure compliance with all road transport legislation and company procedures

Shift Pattern

• Primarily Monday to Friday
• No regular Saturday or Sunday work
• Ongoing work available
• Start times typically between 05:00 and 07:00
• Flexible start times available where operationally possible
• Shift lengths between 8 and 12 hours

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience preferred
• Ability to complete manual handling duties
• Strong attention to detail when completing delivery paperwork
• Reliable and professional approach to work
