Job summary

Simarco International is hiring a experienced Multi-Drop Van Driver to handle deliveries and collections around London and surrounding areas. Full-time, 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will plan routes, load safely, and provide excellent customer service.

Ideal candidates have multi-drop experience, a UK B category licence, and the ability to work to tight schedules in busy urban environments. Training, PPE and a company pension are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of multi-drop delivery and collection driving.
• London driving experience would be a strong advantage, particularly within the M25 and London.
• Previous experience operating curtain-side and tail-lift equipment would be highly desirable.
• Confident navigating busy urban areas and managing timed deliveries and collections.
• Full UK Category B Driving Licence.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Delivery and collection of customers freight, as assigned by the Transport Office to and from various locations and regions.
• Multi-drop delivery and collections, including some home deliveries (B2C).
• Supervise loading of the vehicle and ensure safe loading and securing of goods.
• Ensure correct goods and quantities are loaded/unloaded.
• Plan the day and route for cost and operational efficiency.
• Present and return Delivery Notes and PODs (electronic/manual).
• Inform the Transport Office of delays; maintain vehicle cleanliness and tidiness.
• Greet customers professionally and provide excellent service.

Due to continued growth, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Drop Van Driver who is reliable and competent in handling multi-drop collections and deliveries of customers freight, in and around the London area.

Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:

• Previous experience of multi-drop delivery and collection driving.
• London driving experience would be a strong advantage, particularly within the M25 and London.

• Delivery and collection of customers freight, as assigned by the Transport Office to and from various locations and regions.
• Multi-drop delivery and collections that may involve some home deliveries (B2C).
• Supervise the loading of your vehicle so that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage.
• Ensure the correct goods and quantity of goods are loaded and unloaded.
• Plan you day and route in the most cost and operationally effective manner.
• Present, process and return customers Delivery Notes.
• Secure and return Proof of Delivery advice notes (POD) electronic and/or manual.
• Inform the Transport Office of any delays to or whilst at work
• Maintain your vehicle (inside and out) in a clean and very tidy condition.
• Greet all customers you meet in a polite and helpful manner and provide excellent customer service.
