Job summary

Greencore is hiring a delivery driver at our Carmarthen depot to support daily deliveries across local retailers and forecourts. You will start at 3am, work five days per week including Saturdays, and join a nationwide team ensuring fresh stock arrives on time.

You will load orders, check delivery notes, and deliver to customers while complying with health and safety rules. Night-time hours carry a £1.15 per hour shift premium, and overtime is paid after 42 hours.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license held for at least six months, with a maximum of 6 points.
• Experience delivering to convenience retailers and forecourts preferred.
• Able to work five days per week, including Saturdays, with 3am start shift.

Responsibilities

• Load customer orders from Warehouse to van and verify delivery notes.
• Deliver orders to customers in a timely and correct manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety; follow health and driving laws.

ShiftTimes:3am Start Time

Shift Pattern: Monday to Saturday with a rolling rest day

Pay Rate:£13.60 per hour (+ £1.15 for any hours worked between 10pm and 6am)

Overtime:Premiums are payable after 42 hours at time and a quarter

Workload:On average between 20-30 drops per day

All routes are planned in at 8 to 12 hours long.

Carmarthen:

A distribution depot serving convenience retailers and forecourts in the region. The depot operates a fleet of 14 vehicles on 12 routes.

What you'll be doing:

From the simple sandwich to a range of chilled foods, our customers need fresh stock daily and you could be part of our nationwide team making some of those 3.5 million deliveries each year and keeping Britain fed.You would be expected to work five days per week,which would include mandatorySaturdays. With this shift pattern there will be no Sunday work and working day off as well on rotation.On-the-job training is provided and you will be partnered up with another team member to start with. Full training will be provided if successful in this role but are looking for the following knowledge and experience :

• Loading Customer orders from Warehouse to your Van
• Ensuring all orders correct with delivery notes
• Delivering customer order in correct manner
• Following Health and safety and driving laws
• Ensuring all trays are stacked neatly in van and empty tray from customers
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in vans/areas at all times
• Ensuring all PPE issued is worn at all times

Being great with people is essential. In fact, this is the first thing we look for when we recruit a Greencore driver. Of course, you also need to have a full UK driving license held for at least six months with a maximum of 6points. Van driving experience is preferred.
