Van Driver/Labourer (Cat B, 3.5T)

We're looking for a reliable Van Driver/Labourer to join our team. We manufacture and install decorative plasterwork.

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and proactive Driver/Labourer to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role involving the delivery and collection of fragile materials, general workshop duties and assisting with the smooth and safe running of our operations.

Location: Sutton
Pay: £27'000
Monday to Friday 07:00 to 15:30

Flexibility is essential, as occasionally some deliveries may take longer than anticipated or involve travelling longer distances. The successful candidate must therefore be willing to work beyond normal finishing times when reasonably required to complete deliveries and meet operational needs.

The Role:

• Drive a company van to deliver plaster products, materials and equipment to and from construction sites and other locations in and around London.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and follow health & safety procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely, ensuring goods are properly secured and protected during transportation.
• Plan delivery routes efficiently to ensure timely arrivals.
• Assist with moving and handling materials on site when required.
• Keep company vehicles clean, tidy and in good working order.
• Liaise with workshop staff and site teams to coordinate deliveries and collections.
• Provide a professional and reliable service to customers.
• Empty bins and dispose of workshop waste appropriately.
• Empty water tanks using a forklift (where trained and authorised).
• Refill plaster bins and ensure materials are readily available for production.
• Scrape and vacuum workshop floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Put stock away in designated storage areas.
• Assist with loading, unloading and moving materials around the workshop.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards throughout the premises.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Full UK driving licence.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable:

• Good knowledge of London roads and surrounding areas.
• Valid forklift licence/recognised forklift training certification.
• Knowledge of warehouse, construction or workshop environment.
• Knowledge of delivering materials to construction sites.
