Job summary

Panther Group is seeking an Electric Van Driver to join our nationwide home delivery team. You will represent the brand by meeting customers face to face and ensuring a fantastic experience on each visit.

The role involves lifting heavy items as part of a two-person team, delivering and, when needed, assembling products. A strong emphasis on customer service, teamwork, and professional appearance is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy items; manual handling experience.
• Desirable experience using a PDA.
• Desirable experience performing home deliveries.
• Able to work well with others and communicate clearly.
• Organized and able to manage workload and paperwork.
• Willingness to learn about products and explain details on site.
• Must be aged 25+ for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Complete deliveries on time and ensure customers are happy.

Job description

As one of the UK's leading suppliers of nationwide 2 and 1 person Assisted 'White Glove' Home Delivery Services, we are always on the lookout for fantastic people to join our expanding teams. As an Electric Van Driver you will be an extension of our Customer Service team, meeting customers face to face and being an ambassador for the brand, doing your best to ensure the customer has a fantastic experience on each house visit.

Your key responsibilities as a Home Electric Van Driver will include:

• Complete your deliveries on time, to schedule and most importantly ensuring customers are left happy.
• Be friendly and helpful throughout.
• Keep your customer informed by calling ahead.
• Deliver and assemble/install products when required.
• Support an environment and culture within Panther Group where the customer is firmly at the center of everything that we do.
• Monitor the vehicle for road worthiness and report any defects.
• Ensuring you remain professional and your uniform and boots are clean and presentable and that you make a great first impression to our customers when you arrive.

It should be noted that due to our products being large and bulky items, you should be able to lift items of varying weights as part of a 2-person team.

The role includes working overtime to complete your workload when required.

To be successful in this role we require you to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy items of furniture/white goods, with manual handling experience
• Desirable experience of using a PDA
• Preferable experience of doing 'home' deliveries
• Able to work well with others, having good communication skills and work as part of a team
• Organized and able to manage your workload and associated paperwork
• Keen to learn about our products and be able to explain product information and answer any customer questions on site
• Please note that for insurance purposes you should be aged 25 years or over.
