Job summary

Pertemps Warrington is seeking Van Drivers for a full-time, temp-to-perm post in Redditch. You will load, secure and transport fragile items across nationwide deliveries, with day or night shifts available. A valid UK driving licence with fewer than six penalty points and a good level of physical fitness are essential.

Day shifts: 9:30–17:30, £13.77/hour rising to £14.29 after 12 weeks. Night shifts: 20:00–07:30, £14.68/hour rising to £14.81 after 12 weeks. Overtime paid at time and a half.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid UK driving licence with fewer than six penalty points.
• Van driving and multi-drop experience are required.
• Physically fit and able to carry out heavy lifting.
• Flexible approach to working hours and reliable attendance.
• Age 25 or older is required for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, secure and transport fragile products.
• Complete nationwide, multi-drop deliveries efficiently and professionally.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Ensure the vehicle remains safe, clean and roadworthy.
• Complete all deliveries accurately and within required timescales.
• Assist with warehouse duties, loading and stock handling when required.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.
• Work flexibly to support changing operational requirements.

This automotive distribution operation requires drivers to load and deliver fragile items nationwide. Both shift patterns are available. Day shifts run Monday to Friday, 9:30am until 5:30pm, paying £13.77 hourly, rising to £14.29 after twelve weeks. Night shifts cover four duties across a six-night rota, Sunday to Thursday, 8:00pm until 7:30am, at £14.68 hourly, increasing to £14.81 later. Overtime is paid at time and a half. Candidates must be physically fit, dependable, and at ease with frequent lifting, as this hands-on work is demanding. A valid licence is essential.
