Job summary

Timpson Group in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an Ad-hoc Van Driver to cover holidays and sickness. The role involves safe collection and delivery of garments to our Dry Cleaning Hub, with emphasis on care for customer items and reliable service.

The position is zero-hours/ad-hoc, reporting to the Hub Manager. You’ll need a full UK driving licence, good customer service, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules while working both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Full, clean UK driving licence held on an ongoing basis.
• Experience in delivery environments is desirable but not essential.
• Able to work flexibly on ad-hoc shifts and respond to demand.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver garments safely to the Dry Cleaning Hub.
• Ensure items are handled with care and transported securely.
• Maintain records of collections and deliveries where required.
• Follow road safety rules and company policies at all times.
• Uphold Health & Safety procedures and promote safe working practices.
• Adapt to changing workloads and delivery schedules as needed.
• Support the Hub team with additional ad-hoc duties.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.

Skills And Experience Required

• Full, clean UK driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months.
• Previous driving or delivery experience is desirable but not essential.
• Flexible and dependable with the ability to work on an ad-hoc basis.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive attitude and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
