Job summary

Driver Hire Northampton and Kettering is recruiting for a home delivery driver to work in a two-person team, delivering appliances in a 3.5T van. You will liaise with customers, unpack packaging and position items in the room of choice.

The role requires a valid Cat B licence, a clean driving record with no more than six points, and around 12 months van driving experience. Training for installation is provided.

Rate of pay: £12.71 per hour (PAYE) / £14.25 per hour (PAYE Advanced)

Type of role: Temp to Perm

Days required & shift pattern

4 or 5 days out of 6, Mon – Sat (Set rota when permanent)

5am start (6am Saturday)

Full description of the role

As a home delivery driver you will be driving a 3.5T van delivering home appliances as part of a 2 person team.

• Liaising and dealing with customers
• Delivery to room of choice
• Unpacking and removal of packaging
• Installation (training provided) and removal of old appliance when required
• Valid Cat B licence
• No more than 6 Points or Major Offences
• Minimum of 12 months Van driving experience
• Manual Handling as can be physically demanding
