Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd (Yorkshire) Limited is recruiting for several multi-drop van drivers in the Carlisle area on behalf of a well-known client. You will safely operate a company van to deliver parcels, with up to 50 stops per day, starting at 10am or 1pm, in a customer-facing role.

Shifts include Monday to Friday kick-offs at 10am or 1pm, and Tuesday to Saturday with 10am or 1pm starts. A valid UK driving licence and reliable time management are essential for this ongoing role.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence is required.
• Van driving experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to load and unload parcels manually.
• Strong time management and organisational abilities.

Job description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Carlisle area. We are looking for several dedicated multi-drop van drivers to join the team.

Shifts:

• Monday to Friday - 10am starts
• Tuesday to Saturday - 10am or 1pm starts
• Monday to Friday - 1pm starts

Hours: 10am or 1pm

Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour PAYE

Location: Carlisle, CA6 4RD

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

• Safely and efficiently operate a company van to deliver parcels
• Drivers may be required to door to door or lockers
• Max 50 stops her day
• Positively representing the brand, maintaining a clean vehicle and being a courteous driver.
• Safe loading and unloading of parcels on to a van.
• Delivery of products, goods and parcels safely and efficiently to designated locations within set timeframes.
• Ensure proper handling and delivery of sensitive materials with authorisation, if necessary and deliver high standards of customer care.
• Properly use and maintain delivery equipment, including handheld scanner, to deliver shipments

Requirements:

• A valid UK driver's license.
• Van driving experience (preferable)
• Have no more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Physical ability to manually load and unload vehicles.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
