Job summary

The Carlisle area-based van driver role requires safely operating a company van to deliver parcels, with potential door-to-door or locker drops while maintaining a courteous brand image.

You will load and unload parcels, use a handheld scanner, and ensure timely, accurate deliveries with strong customer service and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence.
• Multi-drop experience (preferable).
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Physical ability to manually load and unload vehicles.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Job description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Carlisle area. We are looking for several dedicated multi-drop van drivers to join the team.

Shifts:

• Monday to Friday
• Tuesday to Saturday
• Wednesday to Sunday

Hours: between 09:00am - 10:00am starts (Sunday is 08:00am)

Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour PAYE

Location: Carlisle, CA6 4RD

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

• Safely and efficiently operate a company van to deliver parcels
• Drivers may be required to do door to door (50-100) or lockers (100+)
• Positively representing the brand, maintaining a clean vehicle and being a courteous driver.
• Safe loading and unloading of parcels on to a van.
• Delivery of products, goods and parcels safely and efficiently to designated locations within set timeframes.
• Ensure proper handling and delivery of sensitive materials with authorisation, if necessary and deliver high standards of customer care.
• Properly use and maintain delivery equipment, including handheld scanner, to deliver shipments

Requirements:
