About the Role

What We Offer

• 20-25 hours per week
• $23/hour with school year assignment (starting August 26), training/summer rate of $20/hr
• Split Shifts: 5:30am-9:00am & 1:00pm-5:00pm (exact hours depend on route)
• No commute! The van goes home with you (if you have secure parking)

Requirements

• Age 21+ and have held a driver's license for 3+ years
• Satisfactory Driving Record (no suspensions)
• Ability to pass background checks (CORI & SORI)
• Effective communication in English (spoken and written)
• School pupil transport license (7D certificate) — we assist in obtaining it

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles according to traffic laws, transporting school-aged children
• Operate various vehicles including sedans, mini-vans, passenger vans, and wheelchair vans
• Assist students with entering/exiting vehicles and securing them safely
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Use two-way radios effectively
