Thompson Aero Seating is seeking a Delivery Driver to manage daily delivery and collection routes across Northern Ireland. You will load and unload goods, verify orders, and document procedures while maintaining vehicle safety and professional customer interactions.

Responsabilités

• Carry out daily delivery and collection schedules.
• Load, transport and unload goods safely.
• Verify deliveries with notes and orders; obtain confirmations.
• Document deliveries and report delays or issues.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and keep vehicles clean.
• Monitor fuel levels and report maintenance needs.
• Ensure loads are secured and follow safety guidelines.
• Represent the company professionally to customers and suppliers.
• Maintain warehouse housekeeping and accurate records.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and timely delivery and collection of goods, materials, and equipment while maintaining high standards of customer service, vehicle care, and compliance with company procedures and road transport regulations. The role will involve working across all Thompson Aero Seating sites and transporting goods to/from various locations across Northern Ireland.

Responsibilities

Delivery & Collection

• Complete daily delivery and collection schedules in line with operational requirements
• Load, transport, and unload goods safely and securely
• Verify deliveries against delivery notes, pick lists, and purchase orders
• Obtain delivery confirmations and accurately complete all relevant documentation
• Report delivery delays, shortages, damages, or customer issues promptly

Vehicle Management

• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks before use
• Maintain the vehicle in a clean, roadworthy, and professional condition
• Monitor fuel levels and report maintenance requirements
• Ensure defects are reported immediately in accordance with company procedures

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Comply with all Road Traffic Regulations and Company Driving Policies
• Follow Health & Safety procedures when loading, unloading, and handling materials
• Use appropriate PPE where required
• Ensure loads are correctly secured and transported safely
• Adhere to manual handling guidelines and safe working practices

Customer Service

• Act as a professional representative of the company when interacting with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times
• Resolve straightforward delivery issues and elevate more complex matters when necessary

Stores & Warehouse Support

• Maintain housekeeping standards within stores and warehouse areas

Administration

• Complete delivery records, vehicle inspection sheets, and any electronic documentation accurately
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle inspections

Requirements

Essential

• Full UK Driving Licence to include a clean driving record
• Previous experience in a delivery, logistics, warehouse, or transport environment
• Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle operation
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physically capable of loading, unloading, and handling materials safely

Desirable

• Valid Forklift licence
• Basic vehicle maintenance awareness
