Job summary

Thompson Aero Seating is seeking a delivery driver/logistics operative to cover duties across Northern Ireland. You will ensure safe, efficient delivery and collection of goods, maintain vehicle standards and comply with road transport regulations.

Role involves loading/unloading, documentation, and customer-facing activity, with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy and teamwork. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and 33 days leave.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence with a clean driving record.
• Experience in delivery, logistics, warehouse or transport.
• Strong knowledge of road safety and vehicle operation.
• Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Physically capable of loading, unloading and handling materials safely.
• Basic vehicle maintenance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily delivery and collection schedules in line with operational requirements.
• Load, transport, and unload goods safely and securely.
• Verify deliveries against notes, pick lists and purchase orders.
• Obtain delivery confirmations and complete documentation accurately.
• Report delays, shortages, damages or customer issues promptly.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and keep vehicles clean and roadworthy.
• Monitor fuel levels and report maintenance needs.
• Ensure defects are reported immediately per procedures.
• Represent Thomson Aero Seating professionally with customers and suppliers.
• Resolve straightforward issues and escalate complex matters when needed.
• Maintain stores and warehouse cleanliness and order.
• Complete delivery records, vehicle inspection sheets and electronic docs.
• Keep mileage, fuel usage and inspections records accurate.
