Rapier Employment

are looking for a medical delivery/van driver to support our well-known client based around the Oxfordshire area.

Position:

Van Driver

Hours:

Start times between 06:00 - 12:00. Finish latest usually by 20:00. Start times are on a rota basis.

Days:

Friday-Monday or work Saturday, Sunday and 1 other day in the week.

Pay rate:

£12.21 per hour.

Overtime:

Paid at x1.5 after 37.5 hours worked in the week.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Transporting blood and tissue samples between hospitals and surgeries.
• Making multiple deliveries a day which are time critical.
• Pathology delivery and collections.
• Delivering internal mail between different sites.
• Making deliveries to easy access sites, as well as surgeries in remote locations.
• Deciding where to park and when to contact the site or transport for updates.
• Working independently as well as part of a team.

Requirements:

• Van driving and multi-drop experience.
• Ability to work to deadlines and update transport if issues arise on routes.
• Must be 18 or over due to insurance purposes.
• Full UK driving licence.
• A DBS check will be required in the future.
