Job description

Job Title: Van Driver

Driver Hire Lincoln is recruiting Van Drivers for an exciting ongoing long-term 6-month position!

Location:

Horncastle

Start Date:

6th May 2025

Pay:

£12.50 – £16.66 per hour, with overtime pay after 40 hours per week. Paid on a PAYE basis.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Monday to Friday work
2. Delivering and assembling products to businesses nationwide
3. Start times between 03:00 and 07:00 (flexible)
4. Loading the van at the end of each day for the next day's deliveries
5. Occasional overnight stays (up to 2 nights a week), pre-planned with notice
6. Manual lifting to load, unload, and assemble deliveries
7. Training provided on assembling equipment at each delivery

Additional Details:

• 8-12 hour workdays
• Hotel accommodation paid for when overnight stays are required, including breakfast, a £26 dinner allowance, and a £6 lunch allowance

Requirements:

• Valid in-date Cat B 3.5-tonne driving license
• Personal transport to and from the workplace
• High visibility clothing and safety boots
• ‘Can do’ attitude and flexibility
• No major endorsements on the license
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
• Availability to start early and to night out as required
