Job summary

Swift Temps Ltd is recruiting an experienced Van Driver to support a well-established building materials company. You will reliably complete daily deliveries to customers on an allocated route, often with up to 10 drops per day, starting at 6:00am and working Monday to Friday.

You will use a PDA to scan deliveries and update information throughout the route, and must be physically capable of handling building materials as part of your duties.

Qualifications

• Previous van driving or multi-drop delivery experience is required.
• A valid UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience delivering building materials or similar products would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Swift Temps are currently recruiting an experienced Van Driver to work with a well-established building materials company.

• Working Days: Monday to Friday
• Start Time: 6:00am
• Working Hours: Approximately 45-50 hours per week
• Hourly Rate: £13.50 per hour
• Deliveries: Up to 10 drops per day
• Temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.

About the Van Driver role:

You will be responsible for completing daily deliveries of building materials to customers, following an allocated route and ensuring all deliveries are made safely and on time.

The role will involve up to 10 drops per day. You will also be required to use a PDA/handheld device to scan deliveries and update delivery information throughout your route.

Due to the physical nature of the role, you will need to be reasonably fit and comfortable handling and moving building materials as part of your daily duties.
