Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting a van driver in Gloucester for an ad-hoc, temporary role with starts between 04:00 and 10:00. You will deliver winter products for a national distribution company, with weekend work possible at higher rates and full PPE provided.

Role involves 3.5t van deliveries, yard moves, and paperwork, with flexible shifts and ongoing support from a Pertemps Transport Consultant.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category B driving licence.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph cards required.
• Maximum of 9 penalty points for minor offences only.
• Physically fit with light manual handling.
• Available for starts between 04:00 and 10:00, Monday to Friday, with some weekends.
• Reliable, flexible and customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Driving a 3.5t van for deliveries and collections.
• Moving vehicles around the yard and ensuring they are loaded correctly and ready for departure.
• Delivering full pallets, mostly forklifted, with occasional tail lift/pallet truck use.
• Keeping the yard clean, tidy and organised.
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
• Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional attitude.

Van Driver wanted in Gloucester paying £13.00ph to £14.00ph, with starts between 04:00 and 10:00. This is an ad-hoc temporary requirement until Christmas, delivering winter products to customers. • Being flexible and happy to drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle at the same rate when required.

Requirements:
