Job summary

Pertemps Gloucester (Chiltern) Industrial is hiring a part-time Van Driver in Gloucester. The role pays £13.00–£14.00 per hour on an ad-hoc temporary contract running until Christmas, with starts between 04:00 and 10:00.

Weekend work may be available at higher rates and duties include 3.5t van deliveries, yard movements, and loading checks. The position welcomes both experienced and newly qualified drivers, offering ongoing support and the possibility of extended work with a trusted national

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category B driving licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• Maximum of 9 penalty points for minor offences only.
• Physically fit and comfortable with light manual handling.
• Available for starts between 04:00 and 10:00, Monday to Friday, with some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Driving a 3.5t van for deliveries and collections.
• Moving vehicles around the yard and ensuring they are loaded correctly and ready for departure.
• Delivering full pallets, mostly forklifted, with occasional use of a tail lift or pallet truck.
• Keeping the yard clean, tidy and organised.
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
• Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional attitude.
• Being flexible and happy to drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle at the same rate when required.
