Job summary

QS Recruitment seeks experienced Van Delivery Drivers for Leicester and the wider Leicestershire area. Deliver wholesale food and drink, load/unload, check vehicles and work with the team to ensure on-time deliveries. Immediate starts and ongoing hours with a path to permanent employment.

Requires a Full UK driving licence, references for van driving, no more than 6 points, and no DD/DR/TT convictions. Shifts Mon-Fri 05:00, occasional Saturdays, ~40 hours weekly; £13 per hour.

Qualifications

• Professional attitude and strong customer service skills required.
• Able to work as part of a delivery team and on own initiative.
• Shift pattern includes early starts and some Saturdays.
• Clean driving licence with no more than 6 points and no DD/DR/TT convictions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and drink wholesale products to customers in Leicester and surrounding areas.
• Assist with loading and unloading and complete vehicle checks.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure deliveries are accurate and on time.

Job Description

Van Delivery Drivers Wanted – Leicester! Are you an experienced van driver looking for steady delivery work across Leicester and the wider Leicestershire area? This is a great opportunity to join a busy driving team, with immediate starts, ongoing hours and the chance to work towards a permanent contract. In this role, you will deliver food and drink wholesale products to customers such as schools, care homes and restaurants. A professional attitude, good timekeeping and strong customer service skills are essential. You will also assist with loading and unloading, complete vehicle checks and work closely with the team to ensure deliveries are completed safely and on time.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: This driving role pays £13 per hour. Holiday is accrued up to 28 days per year, pro rata for PAYE.

Working Hours: Shifts are available Monday to Friday from 05:00, with occasional Saturday work, usually around 1 in every 3, when required. You can expect to work approximately 40 hours per week.
