Job summary

Rubix Valve Technology in the United Kingdom specializes in engineered valves for high-value projects. The Technical Manager will lead design, validation and compliance processes to deliver high quality, innovative solutions to customers.

Through leadership and individual contribution, you will manage CAD design, testing, and QMS-aligned development while supporting sales with technically robust proposals and maintaining strong supplier and customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Excellent technical knowledge of valves and pressurised equipment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a consultative approach to customers.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Capture of intellectual property through CAD design (Solidworks & Revit), testing, and ERP system load.
• Follow structured design, development, quotation and change control processes with QMS inputs/outputs.
• Support sales through technical proposals that explain features and benefits of solutions.
• Manage departmental processes with throughput and backlog KPIs for sales support.
• Use finite element analysis (F.E.A.), calculations and simulations to minimize design iterations.
• Act as the technical authority in valve configuration and repair services.
• Maintain a culture of Quality and Quality Improvement.
• Protect brand integrity of exclusive products.
• Contribute to management discussions and strategies.
• Develop relationships with key suppliers and customers.
• Comply with policies, procedures, health & safety.
