Job summary

Chi Square Economics in London is seeking a Director to lead non-contentious valuations across share and asset classes. You will oversee engagements, develop client relationships, and drive growth of the valuations practice.

The role requires senior valuation expertise, strong client management, and the ability to mentor junior professionals while contributing to business development and cross‑practice collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in business valuations within a professional services or specialist advisory firm.
• Strong exposure to non-contentious valuations.
• Experience across tax valuations, financial reporting and commercial share valuations.
• Understanding of share buybacks, probate and shareholder-related matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver non-contentious business, share and asset valuations across a range of sectors.
• Advise on tax valuations, employee share schemes and employee ownership trusts.
• Undertake commercial and financial reporting valuations, including share transactions, business restructuring, purchase price allocations and impairment reviews.
• Prepare and review robust valuation models and reports, ensuring high technical standards.
• Manage client engagements from initial instruction through to completion, building strong relationships with business owners and professional advisers.
• Support business development through networking, proposals and identifying new opportunities.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, collaborating with wider Advisory teams to deliver integrated client solutions.

We are partnering with an established professional services firm looking to appoint a Director into its growing Valuations practice in London.

This is an opportunity for an experienced valuation professional to take on a leadership role, overseeing engagements, building key relationships and driving the continued growth of an established practice.
