Job summary

Munich Re UK Life Branch is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join the UK Data Management Team, focusing on LH1 Valuation Data. You will translate and validate client data, produce CLR-ready Valuation Portfolio data, and deliver data analysis and reports for internal clients in the Valuation team.

You will develop data transformation scripts, perform cleansing and profiling, and support ad-hoc reporting and data requirements across valuation processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable Data Processing / Handling and Data Analysis skills.
• Professional experience in a Data Analyst role
• SQL Scripting, R, Python, Power BI, Advanced MS Excel.
• Cloud Based Data Platform (Azure, Databricks) Git and version control practices.
• High level of numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex data issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute and manage data transformation scripts to produce Valuation portfolio data.
• Data cleansing, profiling, mapping and mining of Valuation portfolio data.
• Support and deliver various ad-hoc reporting needs for internal clients regarding the Valuation portfolio data
• Support business requirement gathering activities, especially on data and reporting needs related to valuation portfolio data and wider process improvements.
• Ensure client data used for Valuation portfolio delivery is stored in a consistent format and in line with treaty arrangements.
• Support and improve processes/tools used in the team for Valuation portfolio delivery.
• Determine, monitor and report the availability, quality and consistency of client data used in Valuation Portfolio deliveries.
• Liaise with internal clients to understand data content and maximise business benefits.
• Gather, understand and document detailed business requirements for data using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Manage own work priorities and expectations, working independently or with colleagues.
• Produce quality written and numerical material appropriate to purpose.
