Job summary

Technical Safety Services (TSS) seeks a Validation Technician to join our team in Rochester, UK. The role involves on-site validation and servicing of controlled environment equipment, with UK-wide travel as required.

You will contribute to high-quality validation services, ensuring compliance and safety across client sites. Ideal candidates will have strong IT skills and the willingness to undergo in-house training on industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable IT skills, including MS Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel); CATConnected Portal will be provided.
  • Ability to organize, motivate and work as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate a logical approach to evaluation and problem solving.
  • Willingness to undergo in-house training to gain knowledge of relevant Industry Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and solve problems clients may experience with CAT products and provide on/off-site assistance as needed.
  • Carry out minor repairs and basic servicing on air handling equipment.
  • Submit reports of all service visits and upload data per CAT specifications and procedures.
  • Review client PPM schedules and advise on improvements in testing methods or sequences.
  • Take responsibility for all assigned test kit/equipment ensuring timely calibration and repairs as required.
  • Undertake all training related to Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental issues.

As a key player in delivering high-quality service and validation for cleanrooms, containment facilities, fume cupboards, clean air devices, and minor air handling equipment, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring exceptional performance and compliance. What will you do?
  • Investigate and solve problems clients may experience using CAT products and services and offer any on/ off site assistance and advice in a professional manner.
  • Carry out minor repairs and basic servicing on air handling equipment.
  • Submit reports of all service visits and upload data promptly and in accordance with CAT specifications. Ensuring completion of all contracted tasks and completion of all relevant paperwork and communication to the Admin team, inline with the current procedures via CATConnected (company portal).
  • Review client PPM (planned preventative maintenance) schedules and provide advice on where improvements can be made in testing methods or sequences.
  • Full responsibility for all assigned test kit/ equipment to ensure timely calibration and notification of any issues in terms of functionality or required repairs.
  • Undertake all training, including those related to RoSPA accredited essential Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental issues.
