Placements24 seeks a detail-oriented Validation Engineer to ensure the compliance and performance of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and systems at our Randburg facility. You will develop, execute, and document validation protocols for equipment, utilities, and processes, contributing to regulatory integrity and operational excellence.

Ideal candidates have a strong understanding of pharmaceutical validation principles, cGMP, and experience with IQ/OQ/PQ and computerized systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years of validation engineering experience in pharma/biotech/medical devices.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP and validation IQ/OQ/PQ.
  • Experience validating equipment, utilities, and computerized systems (SCADA, DCS, LIMS).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and finalize validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) for pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, utilities, and computerized systems.
  • Ensure all validation activities comply with cGMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot deviations and document findings and resolutions.
  • Maintain validation documentation including master validation plans, protocols, reports, and change controls.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and IT departments to support validation efforts.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on validation-related issues to project teams and operational staff.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Validation Engineer to ensure the compliance and performance of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and systems at their facility in Randburg . This role is critical for maintaining regulatory adherence and ensuring the reliability of processes that produce high-quality pharmaceutical products. You will be responsible for developing, executing, and documenting validation protocols for equipment, utilities, and processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing and validation principles to contribute to a leading company in the Gauteng area, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, execute, and finalize validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) for pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, utilities, and computerized systems.
  • Ensure all validation activities comply with cGMP , FDA, and other relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain validation documentation in a state of compliance, including master validation plans, protocols, reports, and change controls.

Requirements

  • Experience with validation of manufacturing equipment, clean utilities, and computerized systems (e.g., SCADA, DCS, LIMS).
  • Excellent documentation, technical writing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple validation projects simultaneously.
