Job summary

Arnold Clark is seeking an enthusiastic Valeter for our Vauxhall/Peugeot branch in Stoke. The role focuses on presenting vehicles in sparkling condition, both inside and out, using high-power tools and meticulous cleaning techniques.

Training is provided, and the position suits someone who enjoys a physical, active role and working as part of a team. Hours are full-time with a schedule that includes weekdays and alternate Saturdays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Clean exteriors with a high-powered pressure washer.
• Vacuum and shampoo interiors to a pristine finish.
• Use polishing/buffing equipment to enhance bodywork.
• Follow health and safety procedures with chemicals.
• Maintain and report on equipment and PPE as required.
• Work to set timeframes and targets.
• Use online diary to manage vehicle schedule and log daily work.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Valeter to join our Vauxhall/Peugeot branch in Stoke.

Hours

Full time: Monday - Thursday 8am - 5.30pm, Friday 8am - 4.30pm and alternate Saturdays 8am - 12pm

About The Role

As an Arnold Clark Valeter, you'll be responsible for ensuring all our vehicles are presented in sparkling condition.

This position will be a perfect fit for someone who enjoys working in an active, physical role, has meticulous attention to detail and is a fantastic team player.

Day-to-day duties

• Cleaning sold and stock vehicles to a high standard
• Cleaning vehicles externally with a high-powered pressure washer
• Using a high-powered vacuum to clean and shampoo vehicle interiors
• Working with a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork
• Complying with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals
• Making sure that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and secure at all times, reporting any defects and complying with manufacturers' instructions and PPE recommendations
• Working to set timeframes and targets
• Using an online diary system to manage vehicle schedule
• Completing a daily record of work completed
• Other duties to support the branch as required

Essential Skills

Valet experience is preferred but not essential, training can be provided for a candidate who demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm and the other required criteria. Arnold Clark also operates a Valet Academy which all new valet staff will attend.
