Job summary

Arnold Clark invites applications for a Valeter position at the Stourbridge branch. The role focuses on presenting all vehicles in sparkling condition and maintaining the cleanliness of both interiors and exteriors.

You will work in a fast-paced, physical environment, requiring meticulous attention to detail and a collaborative team approach. Training is provided, and there are opportunities for progression within the Arnold Clark Valet Academy.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• High level of attention to detail is needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Clean vehicles externally with a high-powered pressure washer.
• Vacuum and shampoo vehicle interiors.
• Polish/buff bodywork to enhance finish.
• Follow health and safety procedures when handling chemicals.
• Maintain and secure equipment, report defects and follow PPEs.
• Work to set timeframes and targets.
• Use an online diary system to manage vehicle schedule.
• Complete a daily record of work performed.
• Support the branch with other duties as required.

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Valeter to join our Fiat/Motorstore/Abarth Branch in Stourbridge.

Hours

Full time: Monday - Thursday 8am - 5.30pm, Friday 8am - 4.30pm and alternate Saturdays 8am - 12pm

About The Role

As an Arnold Clark Valeter, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all our vehicles are presented in sparkling condition.

This position will be a perfect fit for someone who enjoys working in an active, physical role, has meticulous attention to detail and is a fantastic team player.

Day-to-day duties

• Cleaning sold and stock vehicles to a high standard
• Cleaning vehicles externally with a high-powered pressure washer
• Using a high-powered vacuum to clean and shampoo vehicle interiors
• Working with a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork
• Complying with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals
• Making sure that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and secure at all times, reporting any defects and complying with manufacturers’ instructions and PPE recommendations
• Working to set timeframes and targets
• Using an online diary system to manage vehicle schedule
• Completing a daily record of work completed
• Other duties to support the branch as required

Essential Skills

• Full UK driving licence.

Valet experience is preferred but not essential, training can be provided for a candidate who demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm and the other required criteria. Arnold Clark also operates a Valet Academy which all new valet staff will attend.
