Job summary

Arnold Clark in Lingfield is seeking a motivated Valeter to ensure vehicles are presented in sparkling condition. This full-time role suits someone who enjoys a physical, active job, pays meticulous attention to detail and works well in a team.

You will clean vehicles inside and out, use a pressure washer, vacuum interiors and polish bodywork. Training is provided, and Arnold Clark offers a pension, healthcare, and 33 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Basic computer skills required.

• Valet experience is preferred but not essential; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Clean sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Use online diary system to manage vehicle schedule.
• Clean vehicles externally with a high-powered pressure washer.
• Vacuum and shampoo vehicle interiors.
• Polish/buff bodywork to enhance finish.
• Comply with health and safety procedures when using chemicals.
• Maintain equipment and report defects; ensure PPE compliance.
• Work to set timeframes and targets.
• Complete daily records of work.
• Support branch with other duties as required.

Hours

Full time: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm

About The Role

As an Arnold Clark Valeter, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all our vehicles are presented in sparkling condition.

This position will be a perfect fit for someone who enjoys working in an active, physical role, has meticulous attention to detail and is a fantastic team player.

Day-to-day duties

• Cleaning sold and stock vehicles to a high standard
• Using an online diary system to manage vehicle schedule
• Cleaning vehicles externally with a high-powered pressure washer
• Using a high-powered vacuum to clean and shampoo vehicle interiors
• Working with a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork
• Complying with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals
• Making sure that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and secure at all times, reporting any defects and complying with manufacturers’ instructions and PPE recommendations
• Working to set timeframes and targets
• Using an online diary system to manage vehicle schedule
• Completing a daily record of work
• Other duties to support the branch as required

Valet experience is preferred but not essential, training can be provided for a candidate who demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm and the other required criteria. Arnold Clark also operates a Valet Academy which all new valet staff will attend.
