Job summary

The Clancy Group Limited is looking for a skilled Vacuum Excavator Driver/Operator to safely expose underground utilities and support repair and maintenance across multiple sites. You will operate vacuum trucks, manage site documentation, and ensure safety compliance.

Applicants should hold a full HGV Class 2 licence and ideally CPCS/EUSR qualifications, with strong communication and the ability to work independently in a physically demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Full HGV Class 2 licence (Category C) is required.
• CPCS and/or EUSR qualification is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operating vacuum excavation trucks and related equipment.
• Driving to and from job sites in line with road and transport regulations.
• Reading and interpreting site drawings, plans, and utility markings.
• Ensuring underground utilities are protected during excavation works.
• Carrying out routine maintenance and pre/post-trip equipment inspections.
• Completing required documentation, including job reports and safety checklists.
• Communicating clearly with site supervisors, ground crews, and clients.
• Following company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.
• Assisting with site setup and cleanup where required.
