Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Primary Care Staff Nurse for the Community Treatment Care (CTAC) service, based in Campbeltown with travel across Argyll & Bute. The role is part-time, Monday–Friday, within an integrated nursing team and the wider General Practice multidisciplinary team.

You will deliver high-quality nursing care in line with GP contract terms, with training provided for wound care, phlebotomy, ear irrigation, vaccinations, patient observations and ECGs.

Qualifications

• Experience in basic and complex wound care, phlebotomy, ear irrigation, vaccinations, patient observations and ECGs is desirable but full training will be provided.

• Work within an integrated nursing team and wider General Practice multidisciplinary team.
• Support the Primary Care Team to provide person-centred care in the community.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Primary Care Staff Nurse within our Community Treatment Care (CTAC) service based in Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership working as part of an integrated nursing team model and wider General Practice multidisciplinary team.

The role is offered on a part-time basis working Monday – Friday. The main base will be Campbeltown although travel throughout the locality is essential.

The post holder will play a key role in delivering high-quality nursing care in line with the new GP contract terms. You will become an integral part of the extended Primary Care Team, working collaboratively with GP Practices, Community Nursing colleagues, and a range of Allied Health Professionals to provide excellent, person-centred care to our community.

This role is ideal for someone who brings strong time-management skills, adaptability, and a genuine passion for holistic patient care. Experience in areas such as basic and complex wound care, phlebotomy, ear irrigation, vaccinations, patient observations, and ECGs is desirable however, full training will be provided for the right candidate.

We welcome applicants who are both Newly Qualified and Nurse Registrants interested in a career in Primary/Community Care. A UK car licence/car access is essential to this role.
