SolarSub, a start-up focused on enabling solar panels to thrive in the sun, is seeking a Verification & Validation Engineer. The role is based at The Salter Centre, Loanhead, Edinburgh, on a full-time basis, with regular in-person office and lab work and opportunities for international travel.

You will own verification and validation across lab, pilot and field trials, design test set-ups with CAD/DAQ, create and manage test programmes and documentation, and lead reliability testing to address

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in a related field.
• Experience in verification, validation or reliability programmes.
• Knowledge of test design, instrumentation and data analysis.
• Familiarity with standards and external laboratories is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Own verification and validation across lab, pilot and field trials.
• Design test set-ups and instrumentation layouts using CAD/DAQ.
• Create and manage test programme, procedures and standards.
• Analyse test data and translate results into design decisions.
• Lead reliability testing for durability and failure modes (FMEA).
• Maintain test documentation and traceability.
