Job summary

NHS Supply Chain seeks a UX/UI Manager to drive the overall UX/UI strategy, oversee the design process, and deliver intuitive, user‑centric interfaces. You will shape our digital presence and enhance customer satisfaction across NHS trusts and healthcare platforms.

You will lead a team of designers, collaborate with product managers and developers, and ensure accessibility and inclusivity in all solutions. This role is hybrid with Nottingham site engagement and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in UX/UI or product design with a track record leading design teams across complex transactional sites on web, mobile web and native apps.
• Proficiency in Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, InVision or Axure.
• Deep understanding of user-centred design principles, usability and design thinking.
• Experience with accessibility compliance to WCAG 2.1 AA; Government Design Service (GDS) principles desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall UX/UI strategy and design process.
• Oversee the UX/UI design lifecycle from research through prototyping and testing.
• Manage a team of UX/UI designers (permanent and contractors).
• Collaborate with product managers, developers and stakeholders to define requirements and priorities.
• Conduct regular design reviews and ensure design consistency and best practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advocate for innovative design approaches.
• Champion accessibility and inclusivity throughout the design process.
