Sheffield City Council is seeking a skilled UX/UI Designer to shape digital services for residents, businesses and staff. You will work with researchers and developers to prototype, test and iteratively improve websites, intranets, and online services.

The role emphasizes accessibility, responsive design and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, with flexible working considerations and a competitive Grade 8 salary.

Qualifications

• Experience in UX/UI design across end-to-end digital services.
• Experience planning and delivering user-centred design activities based on evidence.
• Experience creating concepts, user flows, wireframes and high-fidelity designs.
• Ability to analyse user research, analytics and feedback to derive insights.
• Experience presenting concepts and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Experience designing responsive, mobile-first interfaces.
• Knowledge of WCAG and accessible design principles.

Responsabilités

• Design user-centred digital experiences that simplify complex processes.
• Use user research, analytics and stakeholder feedback to improve journeys.
• Develop concepts, flows, wireframes and prototypes into implementation-ready designs.
• Create responsive interfaces that work across desktop and devices.
• Apply design systems, components and style guidelines consistently.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure design intent is delivered.
• Lead UX/UI improvement projects across sites and internal systems.
• Contribute to design system and pattern libraries.
