Job description

The Product Designer is a key role within the Products team, responsible for providing and supporting design across various projects. They will own the design process and ensure continuous delivery of work to our customer base.

As a Product Designer, you will represent the voice of our customers throughout the product development lifecycle, understanding pain points and validating assumptions and risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external customers to understand their needs through various research methods.
• Own the design of each feature, including research, sketching, and implementation, with support from the Product and Development teams.
• Identify areas for product improvement and new problems to solve, articulating decisions with research insights and data.
• Ideate and develop solutions to meet customer needs across multiple devices.
• Create prototypes to test solutions and validate ideas.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure high-quality implementation.
• Contribute to building a strong, user-centered culture within Kinetic.
• Communicate and present effectively at all organizational levels.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

• Experience in product design, preferably within EdTech or SaaS sectors.
• Proficiency in design thinking for solving complex business problems.
• Ability to explore, research, and create solutions concurrently.
• Skill in visualizing and communicating problems and solutions through various deliverables.
• Experience with Figma or similar tools for building prototypes and design systems.
• Ability to plan and facilitate research activities to understand customer needs and generate insights.
• Knowledge of inclusive design and web accessibility standards.
• Experience working in organizations that value people and culture.
