A fast-growing retail tech company is looking for a talented UX/UI Designer with Design Systems experience to join their team initially on a 1–2 month contract with the strong potential to transition into a permanent role. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and marketing teams to define and deliver product features that meet business objectives.
• Lead user research and usability tests, incorporating feedback to optimise the user experience.
• Develop and implement scalable design systems for diverse digital platforms.
• Oversee the full design process from ideation to prototyping and final delivery.
• Work closely with product designers to create reusable design components and patterns.
• Ensure seamless integration of design systems within development frameworks, using HTML and CSS.
• Create inclusive components by adhering to accessibility standards.
• Develop and document design guidelines and best practices to maintain consistency.
• Keep up with industry trends and best practices in UX/UI design.
• Partner with marketing and branding teams to ensure cohesive visual identity across all digital platforms.
• Conduct regular audits of design assets, recommending areas for improvement.
• Implement design tokens for consistent and scalable assets.
• Lead the creation of interactive Figma components, ensuring smooth handoffs to development teams.
• Adapt and refine design systems based on evolving product needs.
• Work closely with product owners to gather and define design specifications.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of UX/UI design experience.
• Proven experience in developing and managing design systems for complex digital platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, including experience with Dev Mode for seamless handoffs.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and their integration within design systems.
• Experience with design tokens to create scalable, adaptable design solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and product managers.
• Skilled in user research and usability testing, ensuring designs are accessible and user-friendly.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex design concepts.
