Job summary

SRT Marine Systems plc is seeking a UX Designer to improve how users interact with surveillance, security and decision-support software. You will define user journeys, information architecture and interaction models, guiding UI designers and engineers to turn insights into effective product experiences.

The role is hybrid with the Bristol office, and you will draw on limited direct user research, plus product feedback, analytics and SME input to shape workflows.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable UX-design experience on complex B2B, operational, analytics or security software products.
• Experience designing for data-heavy applications with search, filtering and investigations.
• Ability to translate complex processes and stakeholder requirements into clear user journeys.
• Strong information architecture, interaction design and workflow design skills.
• Proficiency with Figma, Miro and Overflow to produce wireframes and prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Lead UX thinking for surveillance, security and operational software products.
• Break down complex tasks into clear journeys, decision points and flows.
• Define information architecture and navigation for data-rich apps.
• Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to test user flows.
• Work with product managers, engineers and SMEs to clarify requirements.
• Document UX decisions and acceptance criteria for implementation.
