National History Museum is seeking an experienced UX Designer to shape how millions of visitors use our website to plan their visit. You will lead the design of intuitive, accessible experiences within a multidisciplinary team, prioritising user needs and business goals.
You will plan and synthesise user research, translate insights into wireframes and prototypes in Figma, and collaborate with developers to iteratively test and implement improvements.

As a UX Designer, you'll play a key role in shaping how millions of visitors use our website to discover and plan their visit to the Museum. Working in a multi-disciplinary product team, you'll lead the design of intuitive, accessible and commercially effective experiences while putting user needs first. You'll use research, data and experimentation to identify opportunities, create and test solutions.
You're an experienced UX designer who combines strong user-centred design skills with commercial thinking. You're confident planning and synthesising user research, translating insights into wireframes and prototypes in Figma, and working iteratively within cross-functional product teams. You have a solid understanding of accessibility, UX best practice and product metrics, using data to inform decisions and measure impact. You're equally comfortable collaborating with developers and influencing stakeholders, bringing a thoughtful, pragmatic approach to balancing user needs with business goals.

We also recognise the benefits and flexibility that hybrid working brings. We operate a hybrid working model that requires regular, weekly attendance for this role, with the precise pattern of days on site and worked from home to be agreed with your manager.
