Job summary

SOCOTEC UK in Irvine is seeking an experienced Utility Surveyor to join our team. You will map and survey utilities, identify pipes and cables, and support critical infrastructure projects while working with advanced technology.

Travel across the UK and night work may be required depending on project needs. The role requires at least 2 years in utility surveying, strong GPR and trench tracing skills, and a UK driving license.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years Utility Surveying experience.
• Excellent knowledge and experience of underground utility tracing and GPR.
• Experience across a wide variety of environments and complex surveys.
• Ability to post-process GPR data.
• Knowledge of PAS 128:2014 specification surveys.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home as needed.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• CSCS Card.

Responsibilities

• Conduct GPR and Utility Mapping surveys using cutting-edge equipment.
• Undertake investigative utility surveys and paperwork per procedures.
• Engage with site surveyors, contractors, suppliers and clients.
• Create Utility Survey Reports.
• Perform quality control and issue data to CAD.
• Check survey drawings before customer issue.
• Mentor and train Trainee & Junior Surveyors.
• Provide technical support to Project Managers and staff.
