Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland invites an experienced Utility Surveyor to Irvine to deliver precise utility mapping and surveying across UK projects. You will identify underground pipes and cables, post-process GPR data, and supply mapping data to CAD for project teams.

Travel across the UK is common and night work may be required. A full UK driving licence and CSCS card are essential as you join a safety‑driven, growth‑oriented environment committed to professional development.

Qualifications

At least 2 years utility surveying experience.
Excellent knowledge of underground utility tracing and GPR.
Experience across diverse environments and complex surveys.
Ability to post-process GPR data.
Working knowledge of PAS 128:2014 specifications.
Ability and willingness to work flexibly.
A full UK manual driving license.
CSCS Card.

Responsibilities

Conduct GPR and Utility Mapping surveys using cutting-edge equipment.
Undertake investigative utility surveys and conduct paperwork in accordance with company procedures.
Engage with other site surveyors, contractors, suppliers, clients.
Create Utility Survey Reports.
Carry out quality control checks and issue data to CAD.
Check survey drawings before they are issued to our customer.
Mentor and train Trainee & Junior Surveyors.
Provide technical support to Project Managers and internal staff.
