Job summary

Quartzelec Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of low voltage distribution cable upgrade projects in our Utilities division. You will own projects from inception to completion, overseeing planning, execution, budgets, cash flow, and relationships with clients and teams.

The role requires proven PM experience in utilities or infrastructure, with strong commercial acumen and a track record of safe, high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Project Manager role, ideally within utilities, power distribution, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience handling the financial responsibility of projects.
• Demonstrable PM experience, ideally within a DNO framework (Desirable)
• Strong commercial understanding with experience managing budgets, profitability, and contractual obligations.
• Demonstrable experience leading operational teams and managing subcontractors.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, influence, and develop teams.
• Commercially focused with a strong awareness of business performance and profitability.
• Proactive, organised, and capable of managing competing priorities.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of low voltage distribution cable upgrade projects.
• Take full responsibility for project planning, execution, monitoring, and completion.
• Manage project budgets, P&L performance, cash flow, and commercial outcomes.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and operational teams.
