Job summary

83zero Ltd. is seeking an experienced User Researcher to lead research across discovery, design and delivery on complex digital transformation projects.

You will build strong client relationships, present evidence-based findings, and influence project direction through workshops and collaborative stakeholder engagement. The role requires strong communication, experience in agile, multidisciplinary teams, knowledge of GDS standards, and a portfolio demonstrating impact.

• Hands-on User Research experience across the product or service lifecycle.
• Strong stakeholder and client management skills.
• Demonstrable experience presenting research, explaining findings and influencing decisions.
• Experience facilitating workshops and communicating with different audiences.
• Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of GDS standards and design principles.
• A portfolio demonstrating how your research influenced decisions and outcomes.
• A consultative or client-facing background would be beneficial.

Location: UK Wide – London, Bristol, Manchester & Birmingham

Job Type: Permanent | Hybrid (1–2 days per week) | Occasional travel to client sites

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced User Researcher who can combine strong research

skills with confident stakeholder management, client communication and presentation

skills.

You’ll work on complex digital transformation projects, leading research from discovery

through to delivery and helping clients make evidence-based decisions that improve

digital products and services.

This role goes beyond conducting research. You’ll need to confidently present findings,

explain your approach and the evidence behind your recommendations, and facilitate

workshops that bring stakeholders together and influence project direction.
