Hunter City Motor Group is seeking an experiencedUsed Vehicle Sales Managerto lead our dynamic team at Mercedes-Benz Newcastle.

This is a pivotal leadership role focused on driving performance, delivering outstanding customer experiences, and managing all aspects of our used vehicle sales operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and support the used vehicle sales team to achieve sales targets

- Align departmental activities with the broader business strategy

- Report on sales performance, identifying variances and providing revised projections to the General Sales Manager

- Manage the appraisal, purchasing, reconditioning, display, and merchandising of used vehicles

- Process commission sheets and monitor revenue, margins, and expenses, implementing corrective actions when needed

- Stay informed on competitor strategies, campaigns, and events to maximise market share

- Build long-term relationships with customers by understanding their buying criteria and delivering tailored solutions

- Support customers through the entire used vehicle selection and purchase process

Required Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar leadership role or strong sales background with a proven record in the automotive industry

- In-depth knowledge of used vehicle operations and the automotive market

- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills

- Ability to identify customer needs and guide them through the buying journey

- Current and valid driver's licence (manual transmission capability essential)
