Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join one of the world’s most iconic brands as a Used Car Buyer based at Porsche Retail Group in Reading.

To apply for the role of Used Car Buyer, you must have:

• Used-Car Buyer experience background
• Full Drivers Licence
• Over 21 for insurance purposes
• Excellent Negotiation skills

Role:
As a Used Car Buyer, reporting to the Used Car Manager, you will work within the Group Sales Operations Department, to ensure PRG achieves its pre-owned targets. will optimise PRGs pre-owned stock holding by making considered purchases, to maximise the stock levels, stock turn, model mix and price profile and guard against averaging units. You will have access to data reporting trends and demands, which you will use to target purchases from your developed network of motor trade relationships to source stock.

Responsibilities:

• Sourcing and purchasing an agreed volume of Porsche vehicles via trade contacts and private sellers
• Ensuring purchases meet the agreed standards by using to agreed appraisal process, to drive group profitability
• Arrange for vehicles to be repatriated to the most appropriate Porsche Centers within the group
• Budling relationships with Centre Management Teams to secure a reliable supply of used vehicle purchase leads and to understand their specifics customer demand to ensure appropriate stock levels.
• Staying informed about current used car market conditions, including pricing, demand, and availability

Minimum Requirements:

• Full Driving License – 2 years Minimum, aged 21 and above (Insurance Policy)
• Previous experience in a car buying role
• Proven negotiation skills and excelling communicator
• Strong accounting and financial knowledge
• Expert car knowledge and market awareness – makes, models, pricing and local market trends

Desirable Qualifications:

• Franchised luxury automotive retail background
• Flexible working arrangement when required
• Maintaining supplier relationships
• Excellent attention to detail
