Job summary

Core-Asset Consulting is seeking a motivated tax professional in Scotland to assist with US Federal, State and Local tax returns across multiple entities. You’ll prepare tax work papers, compile data, and perform tax research while collaborating with colleagues globally.

The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance with ASC740, and ongoing learning to support the US Corporate tax team. UK eligibility to work is required.

Qualifications

• Over 3 years' experience in accounting or tax roles.
• Part qualified or fully qualified CA/ACA/ACCA accountants.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates and tax extension calculations for US Federal, State, and Local tax returns.
• Arrange tax accounting calculations and ASC740-compliant work papers.
• Collect and analyse data; perform validation on internal systems data.
• Prepare Federal and state tax returns and related work papers for multiple entities.
• Conduct tax research and correspond with taxing authorities on notices.
• Support the Tax Manager with ad hoc duties and process improvement.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates and Tax extension calculations to assist with US tax for Federal, State, and Local tax returns for the firm's legal entities.
• Arrange tax accounting calculations and work papers in compliance with ASC740.
• Collect and analyse data.
• Conduct validation controls on internal systems data.
• Prepare Federal and separate state tax returns and tax return work papers for multiple legal entities across different businesses.
• Perform tax research.
• Correspond with taxing authorities on deficiency notices.
• Conduct ad hoc duties to support the Tax Manager of the US Corporate tax team.
• Continuously learn and implement standard processes.
