Job Description:

SRM Recruitment have been retained by a reputable, London headquartered M&A Insurance Underwriter who are growing their US tax, transactional risk business in the UK. As part of a strategic growth plan they are now looking to recruit an experienced US qualified Tax specialist with strong M&A experience to join them as a Tax Insurance Underwriter.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling the entire underwriting process, with specific focus on the US starting with confidentiality agreements, preparing non-binding indications, drafting policies, negotiating contract terms and preparing underwriting requests.
  • Issue of policy documents
  • Establishment and development of international broker and customer relationships
  • Building relationships with law firms in different jurisdictions

Requirements:

  • Due to the jurisdictional focus of the role you will be a US qualified tax specialist with either a legal or CPA qualification
  • Ideally, a degree in law / commercial law / business administration or in another relevant M&A environment, e.g. Corporate finance in the Big 4 or Banking
  • Your strengths include strong customer orientation, decision-making power and a high degree of persuasiveness, as well as high motivation and resilience
  • You have already been able to demonstrate your strong team skills, your high sense of responsibility and your adaptability when dealing with a wide range of technical issues
