Job summary

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) in London is recruiting a Clinical Fellow in Functional, Restorative and Adolescent Urology (FRA) for a 12-month fixed term post. The role provides exposure to a large urology department and opportunities to work with expert consultants in a tertiary centre.

The post requires eligibility for GMC registration, completion of core surgical training, and substantive registrar-level experience in urology, with involvement in teaching,

Qualifications

• Eligible for full GMC registration at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practice.
• Completion of core surgical training.
• Substantive experience at Registrar level in Urology.
• Proven ability and commitment to carry out high quality research, leading to publication.
• Involvement in the clinical audit process and an understanding of it’s aims and objectives.

Responsibilities

• The fellow will be responsible for patients admitted to the service and their day to day care. They will attend ward rounds, clinic and assist in theatre. They will be expected to take part in audit and research projects, as well as take part in teaching undergraduate and post graduate students as well as other staff groups.
• This role include the urology on call rota, 1 in 16, to support emergency urology admissions at UCLH.

Education

Eligible for full GMC registration at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practice.
